It is very rarely that I visit a house of God just to thank Him.I usually include a list of things I was hoping to get,or ask Him for general wellbeing, protection of family and freinds, and the like.Today,I went to a temple(not a frequent activity in itself)and just stood there for a long time.It seemed as though Lord Ganeshji was smiling a fatherly smile and asking,"Whats up,child?".And I just said,"Thanks".Weird day, huh?

I admit that till today morning, I had the idea of writing about all the main plot twists of the latest book of the Harry Potter series, but after reading today’s newspaper which contained a brief but very disapproving article about “killjoy bloggers”who made life so hard for people who have not been so fortunate to read the book as yet, I decided to change the subject slightly. I will still be talking about the book, of course. I’m dying to write about it.But,I’ll not be giving away anything serious, don’t worry.

I took almost 12 hours for me to finish the book,6 straight hours yesterday and 6 hours today. Everytime I read a Harry Potter book my social behavior changes considerably in the duration that I read it.So,this time when I finally put down the book an hour ago, my near and dear were very relieved. But I tell you, the hours spent were worthwhile. I think this book is as good if not better than the fourth book, The Goblet of Fire, which is one of my all-time favourites.

I’m very glad that Harry is not violent or sentimental in this book. I’m also surprised as regards the romantic developments. At one chapter, it almost begins to resemble an American teen movie.I was shocked to find out who died, but absolutely flabbergasted to find out how the person died. The Half Blood Prince was kind of a let down for me,as I'd already suspected who it was. All in all, there are enough plot twists in here to blow your mind.

Even after this book, if anyone still insists that HP is for children, they can go stuff their face.

Not even two days into the month and a half holiday, and my mind is screaming out of boredom. My reason for telling this is that boredom and only boredom made me watch the newest Bollywood thriller Naina(thriller??) yesterday.I have never seen such awful nonsense, and thats saying something becuse I've seen some really dumb movies.

Naina is a carelessly made cocktail of films like sixth sense, dark water, the ring, and what not. The story is basically about this girl called Naina(meaning eyes in Hindi) who's lost her eyes in a childhood car accident. She gets new corneas after what seems like 18 years(why not earlier?).It turns out that the replaced eyes are those of a girl who could predict death minutes before it befell anyone. So Naina has to solve some mystery regarding the death of this girl and in the end, somehow she manages to lose her sight again and realises that she was better off blind anyway. And in the middle of all this, she gets engaged to her phsychiatrist. How Unprofessional.

You may ask me why I'm takin all the trouble to write about a film the critics hadn't much to write about. The answer is that there's a different reason for seeing Naina.I'd heard that in the film,Naina predicts the blowing up of a part of the subway in London. This film was shot some four months back,so I was just curious..

Ho Hum...Back to boredom

(P.S;I'll be getting Harry Potter and the half blood prince soon..Can't wait!!)
